H. A. Britton Passes Away at Roachdale Last Rites Tuesday for Well Known North Putnam Man Harvey Albert Britton, 74, died Sunday at 11 a.m. at the home of a cousin, Carl Britton, in Roachdale. He had been in failing health for two and a half years. Born near Roachdale on July 16, 1880, he was the son of J. W. and Mildred Akers Britton. On Sept. 11, 1902, he married Ethel Coffman. He was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian church. Prior to that he had been a member of the Roachdale Methodist church of which he was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent for over 40 years. Survivors include the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Day, a son-in-law, Rev. Wilbur Day of Anderson, a brother, Clay, of Indianapolis, and two grandchildren, Don and Alice Day. He was preceded in death by one son Cecil Frank. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. CDT, at the Roachdale Presbyterian church with Dr. Frank Travis officiating. Burial will be in the Roachdale Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chastain Funeral Home in Roachdale."   ---Submitted by John Hutchins. - thank you John

Harvey Albert BRITTON 74, died Sunday at Roachdale. He was born near Roachdale July 16, 1880 the son of JW and Mildred Akers Britton. He married Sept 11, 1902 to Ethel Coffman. Survivors are the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Day, a son in law, Rev. Wilbur Day of Anderson, a brother Clay Britton of Indianapolis, two grandchildren Don and Alice Day.
